Application features:

GTML
card is used as an e-loyalty and e-purse service. Loyalty points
can be rewarded for every game attended or any purchase made at
the team's facilities. They can be redeemed for future football
games or towards team merchandise. The e-purse application enables
season ticket holders to purchase merchandise and refreshments.
Another
benefit, both from the fan and the team, is the possibility for
the cardholder to sell his seat back to the team for a game he won't
be able to attend. The club can re-sell the seat for that game and
give the supporter extra-cash credited on the card.

Main benefits:

Cost
reduction: in administrative staff in implementing a suitable global
marketing strategy based on the cardholder database.
Increased
security: in a security-sensitive environment, contactless smart
cards allow immediate control of cardholders including the management
of black-lists and a fast transaction at the entrance; these advances
make events safer for everybody and provide unprecedented control
for operations managers.
Increased
revenue: the contactless private e-purse reduces queuing times thus
increasing refreshments sales by about 50%; other benefits are improved
hygiene by eliminating money handling by servers, and reducing the
opportunity for theft (cashless environment).

"I
am now able to tell with confidence exactly the number of people
who are in the ground. I have also received a number of positive
comments from supporters who are very confident with the access
to the stadium," said Laurence McIntyre, operations manager
at Rangers.
